In the Holy Quran, the Holy city of Mecca is referred to as Umm Al – Qura (mother of villages). This name was chosen with a special vision in mind. It was merely due to the spiritual and global reverence of the place it refers to.

The Umm Al-Qura Public School was established in Bahawalpur in April, 1998 to promote free of co-education culture nurtured with quality education with special emphasis on the basic teachings of Islam.
The institute initially started as Girls Branch at Secondary School Level. After three years of success Boys Branch was enhanced upto class IV level and was upgraded to Secondary School level in April 2004. And today, by the grace of Almighty Allah, we have 10 branches in Bahawalpur city and 2 in the suburban areas.
